Meditation Chimer is a simple meditation timer. It will sound chimes for the start and end of your meditation, and optionally chime at regular intervals during your meditation.It has a big friendly clock display, but you dont need to use that if you dont want to. The timer and chimes will continue even if you lock your device. It will even run in the background while you run other apps. Not that you should be doing much while youre meditating, of course, but itll play nicely with music players, white noise generators, and so on.* No adverts, no in-app purchases. What you buy is what you get.* The distinct start, finish and interval chimes are provided by strikes of professionally-recorded Tibetan bowls.* The optional finishing bell can be set for up to 90 minutes. Its a double-chime, so youll know it when you hear it.* The optional interval bell can be set to chime from every one minute to every fifteen minutes. Its a delicate chime, designed to return you to mindfulness if necessary.* You can choose a "settling down" time to let you get ready for meditation (up to sixty seconds)* The only controls are three sliders for the timers, a "Start" button and a "Stop" button.* The clock continues after the finishing bell has sounded, so you can carry on meditating if you want.* The clock counts in hours and minutes, and fades gently from one minute to the next so it wont catch your eye.* Carries on timing and chiming with the screen locked. Simple perfection, Thank you!
This app has exactly what I need. Very simple with the ability to set interval gongs. Unfortunately it has stopped working. I've uninstalled, and reinstalled it after times. It still won't work. I sent feedback numerous times, but no one has gotten back to me. I find that really disappointing.
Simple, no permissions, free, elegant, I wish I could set it for 120 minutes
No ads, elegant interface, nice chime. Option to chime every so many minutes so you know how time is going. Have used for retreats and daily practice. Pretty perfect.
I wanted a simple timer with a nice gong sound, and this is it.
For me it need some work a recover or coming out timer would nice in Transcendental Meditation coming out of your meditation is important . This coming out time is usually 2 minutes or more it's up to the individual when practicing. So a chime for the end of settling, a chime for the end of the meditation and a chime for the end of recovery (coming out) Your is chime is nice and clear it one the best. I would purchase this app with those changes.
The developer contacted me, and the new update fixed the problem. It is now exactly what the doctor ordered. Thanks. Old: On my Nexus 4, it has never worked, not once. The app doesn't have a means of contacting the developer.
Great mediation timer with all the features needed including a settle time and intervals. Subtle graphics and sweet chimes. Very happy with this.
